While the mural was being painted, and the Queer youth helping out were at the church more often, it became apparent that there was a severe lack of resources for Queer youth in Prince George. The Fruit Combo youth group (and Fruit Tea adult group created later) was founded out of the mural painters and artists and has since grown to include many members of the community. Fruit Combo meets once a week to hang out, make friends, and explore their talents in a safe and welcoming environment.
