Who Are We?

This will be a service with Holy Communion; you may wish to prepare your worship space prior to the service. At 11:00 am on Sunday, April 28th participants in the Traditional and Explore services and community guests are welcome to join us at Our Saviour's Lutheran for a light luncheon celebrating Earth Week and the re-opening of the church basement.

Join us for a light lunch followed by gathering and making plant medicines for ourselves and the food bank. Projects will depend on seasonal availability. Dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. All welcome. Free of charge. Thank you to the Health Arts Research Centre for supplies.

ELCIC Emergency Appeal for our partners in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land (ELCJHL)
"The ELCJHL are our siblings in Christ. We have been in a long and important partnership with them, and they need our support at this desperate time," says ELCIC National Bishop Susan Johnson, in an ELCIC Emergency Appeal dated November 3. "Jesus calls us to respond to those in need. This appeal is one way we can do that. I urge you to be generous.”
The ELCIC invites members to support the ELCJHL Emergency Appeal through prayers and financial support with a goal of covering one month of expenses for the ELCJHL, totalling $263,000. Please spread the word in your congregations.

I have been attending OSLC since moving to PG in Oct 1995 and became a member shortly after. My second son was baptized here along with his cousin, my 2 sons attended Sunday School here and were both confirmed by Pastor Roland Ziprick. My Mom attended and became a member when she moved in 2011 at the age of 85, until she passed away in August 2014. I have always found our congregation to be most welcoming and supportive. The outpouring of kindness and help when my Mom passed away was more than heartwarming.
I have been involved in so many aspects of our church life, from Moms and Tots to singing in choir and praise band, to serving as liturgist and on the altar guild.
I count my friends here at OSLC amongst my dearest and I count my blessings that I have such a warm, welcoming and supportive church family to be able to depend on and in turn, to give back to. I look forward to continuing to serve our Lord and our community in whatever capacity I am called to!
